Injectors.

We can fully recondition and pressure test most types / makes of diesel injectors if you cant find a set within our shop to fit your car or you simply wish to have the set you already have reconditioned without throwing them away and purchasing a new set.

Please note that we cannot recondition newer common rail electrical type injectors.

Date range varies but usually all pre year 2000 for normally aspirated injectors.

Diesel injectors are reconditioned in full sets. It is always best to replace them in sets and can make a considerable difference to your fuel consumption, performance, horsepower, engine emissions and gives better fuel economy.

Injectors should be replaced on average between 50K and 150K miles depending on the fuel and its quality. Wear is sped up when contaminates enter the fuel injection system, high temperatures and driving conditions.

Its worth noting before removal the colour of the smoke coming from the exhaust.

Black smoke is a sign of engine overload, a restricted air supply, or a malfunctioning injector. For some reason, excess unburned fuel is being blown out of the exhaust.

Blue smoke forms when the engines own lubricating oil is being burned. This can indicate worn piston rings, valve guides, or seals. The oil can also come from an air filter overfilled with oil or an excess of oil in the crankcase.

White smoke is a sign of water vapor or fuel that has been atomized but not burned. The water vapor may be present in the fuel or water may be leaking into the cylinder from the cooling system. Air in the fuel can also cause white smoke.

Sometimes depending on type / make costs can vary so please email us with the make of your car / engine size / injector type (Lucas Bosch etc) and also any numbers which are stamped on the injector body.

Also there may be some that we cannot recondition so again please email before purchase and sending your injectors.

Once your injectors have arrived they will be fully inspected to make sure reconditioning can be carried out. If reconditioning is not possible you will not be charged. However your postage cost to us will not be refunded and if you would like your injectors returned to you you will also have to pay for the return postage.

Cost includes return postage to you via recorded first class mail to ensure safe and quick delivery in the UK.

Alternators.

Before replacing an alternator there are a few things to bear in mind:


1. Check that the wiring to your current alternator is not corroded, loose or severed.

2. Check that your battery is in good condition.

3. Check that your earth lead to the engine is not corroded.

4. Check that your fan belt is tight.
